George Ray McCormick, Sr.

Services were held this week for a wonderful artist and person, George Ray McCormick, Sr. The links at the end of this post contain great pictures of George with his work at the Museum of Wisconsin Art, where he just had his exhibition in the "One from Wisconsin" gallery. I'm glad that so many of us attended and celebrated his talent. I'm glad that I got to give him a hug and kiss and talk with him at his opening. It's shocking that he is gone. I will remember his easy smile and I will treasure the self-portrait he gave me and the meaning behind it. Thank you for being a good friend, George. We will all miss you more than we can express.
